Two documentaries of the three being screened by the curators of After-Set, this Saturday will feature the visions of Studio 13 Directors. Michael Canzoniero’s Shelter Island and Jared Levy’s Graffiti Fine Art take us through the process of art through varied lenses, one film seeing through the eyes of autism, the other a portrait of a Brazilian city’s vital street art scene. Shooting again
Don Peyote is shooting again and we’re about to start hitting the streets and minds of a whole new crowd. Stay tuned for information as the summer continues. If you’re interested in helping out we’re looking for everything from investors to interns. We might begin a Kickstarter just to get in on the fun, but we’re torn.

A Novel Romance Distribution Deal
After closing the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, A Novel Romance was picked up by Entertainment One for domestic distribution and New Film has acquired the international rights. We’re really excited to see this film starring Steve Guttenberg, Shannon Elizabeth and Milena Govich moving forward. Read more here.
In other news, Studio 13 producer Thomas Sullivan has just opened up 116 Bar in the historic West Village. Home to poets, musicians and comics including Kerouac, Dylan and Cosby, 116′s future promises to be as interesting as its illustrious past. Check out what New York Magazine is saying!
